You Belong to Me..

A deviation from The Beatles.. Some good 'ole Dylan..

See The Pyramids Along the Nile
Watch the sun rise On a tropic isle
Just remember darling All the while
You belong to me...

See the market place In old Algiers
Send me photographs And souvenirs
Just remember 'Til your dream appears
You belong to me....

I'll be so alone Without you
Maybe You'll be lonesome, too
Maybe You'll be lonesome too
And blue

Fly the ocean In a silver plane
See the jungle When its wet with rains
Just remember Till you're home again
Or until I come home to you
You belong to me...

I can't believe it's been nearly a month since my last post!  Sorry for those who have been coming back to an old blog!  But lots has been going on in the Rye house.

We ended March with a visit from Nana & Pop - who were quickly accompanied by Steve & Bri!  It was their last trip east before their big move even more "East" or as Steve says - "To the Homeland".  Yup -  he is now stationed in Germany and Bri had the opportunity to move with him.  They are currently planning to be there for the next 3 years - but it is the Army, soooo you never know!  While they were here, they finally got to meet Ben, who is no longer the newborn infant he was 5 months ago.  And yes, tomorrow (April 18th) is his 5th-month-day.  It was such a great visit with them and we definitely miss having them around more often.

What's new with Ben?  He went to the doctor for his 4 month shots (all are a few weeks late due to his set-back in January) - so he was about 4.5 months and weighed in at 16 pounds, 1 ounce and was nearly 27 inches long!  Needless to say, last weekend, Tim and I got him some new clothes since all of his 6 month clothes no longer fit. Yup - he isn't 5 months old and he is wearing 9 month clothes.  He's super tall.  Guess he gets it honestly!  We think he grew an inch the weekend Steve & Bri were here.  He slept nearly all weekend (I'm talking 4 naps plus his regular sleep schedule).  Consequently, we started him on rice cereal that weekend too!  And he LOVES it (most nights)...

His days are filled with playing, laughing (which is the most incredible sound I have ever heard in my entire life - period), smiling, eating, napping, eating some more, playing some more and the cycle goes on and on.  He is such an awesome baby.  Easy-going, loving, and cuddly - he belongs to me :)  Ben also attended 2 birthday parties for his friends Sam & Joseph - lots of fun!!

Tim has been getting ready for the summer.  Turning the garden over, attempting to kill the weed pit we call a yard, planning his veggies and planting schedule, etc.  He is an awesome daddy - filling in with the evening routine on the nights when I have massage clients.  Ben looks forward to his "daddy" time.  They are so awesome together!
I've been busy too.  April is National Donate Life Month - so I have obligations all over the state with donation drives - talking about organ & tissue donation and encouraging people to become more educated and consider designating themselves if they haven't already done

so.  My massage business has also been picking up - which is AWESOME!!  Ben and I participated in the March for Babies this morning.  It was a blustery morning and momma literally marched with Ben attached - he was not at all interested in his stroller today....  Even with the added workout - it was a truly moving experience.  And a reminder of how lucky, no blessed, we are that we have such a perfect little guy.

We are going to Myrtle Beach for Easter this year.  Very much looking forward to Ben's first beach trip!  I will be sure to post pictures when we get back!

Lots of Love!
L&T
